Weekend planned for a trip to Namakkal, to visit the
Anjaneyar temple and also to the Ardhanareeswarar temple thiruchengodu.
Planned to book a lodge and utilized stayzilla.com services,
it was far from satisfactory.
Morning started from Home at 6.40 am, filled up full tank
and stopped at Vandalur Eraniamman temple, proceeded towards Namakkal.
On NH 45 traffic was heavy on a Saturday also,

This was the queue on all lanes at the Paranur toll plaza.
Traffic was at the same stage till Tindivanam, afterwards it
was reduced a bit, proceeded till Valikandapuram and from Google maps saw new
Premabalur bypass, one board was there on the median stating Perambalur bypass
took that road it was in horrible condition with well sized craters, after
about 3 km this road led to the Perambalur bypass travelled va thuraiyur and
reached Namakkal around 12.30 pm

On Saturdays and Sundays Temple is open throughout the day
so immediately went to the temple had a good darshan, there was little crowd at
the temple, Lodge people told to visit Narasimma temple also, but it was closed
for that time.
Then started for Thiruchengodu, the road was smooth and less
traffic

From foot hills to Arthanareeswarar temple one has to climb
2.50 km on the Hill road temple was collecting 20 Rs for cars, took the hill road
and reached the temple by 3 pm.
Temple was closed and they told it will open by 3.45pm only.
The Temple carvings were a delight tto watch enjoyed it in all loneliness

By 3.45 pm pooja commenced had a god darshan of
Ardhanareeswarar, Murugan and came to Namakkal Lodge by 5 pm.
